The Biblical Tension Theology Foundation Certificate Program is an introductory theological training course designed to help believers, ministry leaders, pastors, teachers, and serious students of Scripture recover the fullness of biblical truth by learning to read Scripture according to its divinely revealed tension structure.
Biblical Tension Theology begins with the conviction that God’s Word does not flatten truth into one-sided systems. Instead, Scripture often reveals truth in faithful dual lines: divine sovereignty and human responsibility, grace and obedience, justification and sanctification, promise and warning, individual faith and corporate life, present fulfillment and future consummation. These biblical tensions are not contradictions to be solved, but revealed structures to be faithfully held.
This certificate program introduces students to the core vision, categories, and method of Biblical Tension Theology. Through biblical study, theological reflection, and practical application, students will learn how theological imbalance often arises when one biblical line is emphasized at the expense of another. They will also learn how to discern, preserve, and apply the dual-line patterns of Scripture for preaching, teaching, discipleship, church leadership, and personal spiritual formation.
The goal of this program is not merely to provide information, but to form a more faithful way of reading the Bible. Students will be guided to recover the whole counsel of God by resisting theological reductionism, honoring the fullness of biblical revelation, and learning to think, teach, and live within God’s holy tensions.
By the end of the program, students will be able to explain the basic framework of Biblical Tension Theology, identify major biblical tension structures, diagnose common one-sided theological collapses, and apply dual-line fidelity to key doctrines and practical ministry issues.
This foundation certificate serves as the first step for those who desire to understand, teach, and embody Biblical Tension Theology in the life of the church for the glory of God and the building up of the body of Christ.
