Biblical Tension Theology does not begin as a theory but as a rule of fidelity.

Its concern is not the invention of a new system, but the recovery of the structural form in which God has given His revelation.

  1. The Ontological Rule

There is one God, and therefore there is only one ultimate source of truth.

Theology does not construct reality;

it receives what is given.

All method must therefore be governed by being.

Where method overrules ontology, collapse begins.

  1. The Canonical Rule

Because the source is one, revelation is one.

Scripture is not a theological marketplace of competing models,

but the unified self-witness of the triune God.

Therefore:

No doctrine may be built on a selective canon.

No ministry may function on a functional canon within the canon.

  1. The Structural Rule of Revelation

The one revelation of God is given in a dual-line form.

These lines are irreducible and non-competitive.
